Fishing lakes

Fishing at Yeatheridge Farm is a tranquil affair, with two lovely lakes to escape to.

The top lake is well stocked and perfectly suited to begginers and pleasure fishers. It is stocked with a mixture of Carp, Crucians, Tench, Rudd and Bream, aveaging 2lb- 4lb up to approximately 5lb.

The bottom lake is a more challenging lake, stocked with tench and carp. It was stocked in 2022 with carp and tench from the top lake, which would be around 3-6lb now, and we added 21 carp in January 2023 which averaged 12.8lb, with the largest topping the scales at 15.9lb.

We hope you enjoy your time fishing at Yeatheridge. The following rules apply to both lakes, with some additional rules for the bottom lake as well:

• A valid rod licence must be held
• All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by someone over the age of 18.
• Fishing is allowed from dusk until dawn, no night fishing allowed.

• Barbless hooks only, maximum of size 10. Anyone caught using a barbed hook will be asked to leave the site immediately.
• Every angler must have their own landing net, disgorger and carp medi kit. All fish must be landed by net, not dangled by a line.
• A minimum of 4lb, line to be used.
• No rods are to be left unattended.
• All fish must be returned to the water as soon as possible.
• No keep nets.
• No antisocial behaviour, this included shouting and screaming. Anyone found doing so will be asked to leave the lake.
• Dogs are allowed by your side and must remain on a lead, but are not allowed in the water.
• Please take photos of your catch but please kneel whilst holding the fish, do not stand.
